Presentation
The SP-RX9+TX9 is remarkably easy to use. Set up for immediate operation. Just switch on the power and go. It uses the UHF (ultra high frequency) spectrum, which helps you avoid interference, and its 514-596 MHz range is unaffected by the FCC's ban on 600 MHz frequencies. A built-in auto-scan function locates the best available channel for you, and infrared synchronisation makes the process easy.
A wireless beltpack transmitter and tie microphone are included, but you can easily expand the system by adding another transmitter (sold separately). Several output cables are included: Lightning for Apple devices, USB-C for Android and 3.5 mm analogue for cameras and other devices. A smartphone holder is integrated into the receiver and a removable handle stabilises your mobile videos. A shoe mount at the top lets you attach important accessories, such as video lights and shotgun mics.
The included SP-RX9 dual-channel wireless receiver can also be used as an audio mixer. You can plug two microphones directly into it and connect it to your smartphone or camera of choice. It has two 3.5 mm microphone inputs and a mini-XLR input. A mini-XLR to XLR cable is included, allowing you to connect professional microphones directly to the SP-RX9. It can provide +48 volts of phantom power, so you can use almost any type of microphone, such as a professional shotgun mic.
The included bodypack transmitter runs on AA batteries and the receiver is powered by an internal lithium-ion battery, which can easily be charged via its USB-C port with an included cable. The USB-C port is also compatible with external battery power packs, so you can keep it powered up in the field.
The included handle has a 1/4" thread, and you can use this mounting point to attach the SP-RX9 to a DSLR, mirrorless or video camera. The settings on the SP-RX9 allow you to set it to Camera mode, which adjusts the output to work perfectly with cameras. The power button on the TX9 beltpack transmitter can easily be set to locked to prevent it from being accidentally switched off while in use. If the person wearing the clip-on microphone needs privacy, a single press of a button activates a mute function and a flashing red LED reminds you to reactivate it later. The system offers an impressive operating range of up to 100 m, and the included SR-M1 clip-on microphone delivers incredible sound quality.
The easy-to-read backlit LCD screen lets you make quick adjustments on intuitive menus in the brightest or darkest environments.
A headphone output is provided, allowing real-time audio monitoring if your camera or smartphone doesn't have a headphone socket.
