The Michael Anthony 78 Set PJ Black passive pickups (Precision/Jazz) are a reproduction of the Schecter USA MonsterTone™ Custom Wound pickups used by Michael Anthony, where the P-Style (Neck) pickup uses Ceramic 8 magnets for incredible articulation and punch, typical of the powerful rock sound. The J-Style pickup (Bridge) is a dual coil single tone design using Alnico V magnets to bring a big, powerful sound, complementing the P pickup by providing a wide tonal range and defined low frequencies.

Schecter's Michael Anthony 78 Set PJ Black pickups carry the famous bassist's signature sound while providing a design for demanding musicians. This duo of PJ pickups combines the precision of the single-coil neck with the power of the double-coil bridge, for a balanced response between depth and attack.
Beneath the black finish, each pickup conceals an engraved brass base plate and Teflon-coated twin-wire cabling, ensuring stable signal transmission and optimum protection against interference. Ceramic 8 magnets combined with nickel-plated carbon steel pole pieces produce a tight, articulate sound, ideal for cutting through a dense mix without losing note definition.
With a rated resistance of 12.6 kΩ at the neck and 10.7 kΩ at the bridge, this set offers a wide and responsive dynamic range.
