Brian Elwin Haner Jr, aka Synyster Gates, is the celebrated lead guitarist of heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold, renowned for his complex and melodic solos. Raised in a musical family and trained at the Musicians Institute, he joined Avenged Sevenfold in 2001, helping to forge their distinctive sound. Beyond the band, he teaches guitar and is consistently ranked as one of the best guitarists in metal.
