The Seymour Duncan Stag Mag Floor Custom Yellow is a passive bridge pickup designed for guitarists looking for versatility and personality. What makes it special is its unique design, which uses Alnico II magnetised pads instead of a traditional bar magnet.
Each coil functions as a single independent winding. Thanks to its 4-conductor wiring, it can be split via a push-pull or mini-switch. In split mode, it delivers an authentic Strat-type sound, bright, snappy and dynamic. The highs are precise and airy, with a fine attack. Bass remains defined without becoming overpowering.
In humbucker mode, the Stag Mag reveals a rich, full and warm sound. The high output level, with a 16.60 kΩ resistor, provides power and sustain. Yet it retains excellent articulation for complex chords. Its tonal balance makes it easy to match with different types of wood. For a 2-pickup configuration, it pairs perfectly with an Alnico II Pro or a Pearly Gates in neck position. The nickel silver bottom plate and wax treatment limit parasitic noise and microphonics.
