The mismatched coils and alnico 5 magnet keep the bass pleasantly dense, with plenty of bite in the highs and give the midrange a perfect grind for hard rock and metal.
When split, you get the Custom 7k coil for a more distinct single coil sound.
Pair it with the '59 neck or Jazz neck for a well-balanced configuration.
