Presentation
The Shure ULXD2 K8 G56 combines the efficiency of ULX-D digital transmission with the precision of the KSM8 Dualdyne capsule. This dynamic cardioid capsule has been designed to offer exceptional proximity effect management, very smooth off-axis attenuation and remarkable vocal clarity. On stage, it enables singers to maintain a stable timbre, even when moving or varying the distance from the microphone, a major asset for live performances requiring coherence and precision.
The transmitter uses 24-bit / 48 kHz transmission and a frequency response extended from 30 Hz to 20 kHz, guaranteeing faithful, linear reproduction of the capsule. AES-256 encryption ensures total security for professional applications, while the Gain Ranging function automatically adjusts the dynamic range without the need for manual adjustment. Thanks to the SB900 or SB900C lithium-ion batteries, battery life can exceed twelve hours, with an accurate display in hours and minutes. Integrated charging contacts allow direct recharging via the SBC200 or SBC220.
The aluminium construction combines strength and lightness, and the built-in antenna ensures stable, efficient RF broadcasting. The backlit LCD menu provides easy access to settings, and frequency and power locks prevent accidental changes during use. Like all ULXD2 transmitters, the K8 G56 accepts interchangeable Shure capsules, providing the perfect modularity for stage or broadcast environments using multiple microphone heads.
The result is a professional system that is reliable, accurate and well-suited to voices that require natural, intelligible and stable pick-up, while taking advantage of the dynamic range and smoothness characteristic of the KSM8.
