Sennheiser - EW-DX EM 2 (S4-10)
The Sennheiser EW-DX EM 2 S4-10 is a dual-channel half-rack digital receiver designed for Evolution Wireless Digital systems. With a switching bandwidth of 88 MHz, ultra-low latency of 1.9 ms and AES-256 encryption, it guarantees reliable and secure transmission. Its network control, PoE power supply and automatic RF co-ordination make it an ideal solution for broadcast, live and professional multi-channel installations.
Presentation
Thanks to its proprietary SePAC codec, the EW-DX EM 2 offers a very low latency of 1.9 ms and a wide dynamic range of up to 134 dB. This architecture eliminates the need for gain adjustment on transmitters and guarantees consistent audio quality, even in complex environments. Equidistant frequency spacing enables up to 293 channels to be deployed in Link Density mode, ideal for large productions.
Designed for modern infrastructures, the receiver incorporates full network connectivity with Ethernet IPv4/IPv6, control via Sennheiser Control Cockpit or Wireless System Manager, and the Smart Assist application via Bluetooth Low Energy. Redundant PoE power supply simplifies rack integration and improves the reliability of permanent installations.
Security is also enhanced with AES-256 encryption and Dante Media Encryption, protecting transmission from interception. The user interface includes an OLED display, navigation wheel and front-panel headphone output for direct monitoring. Automatic RF scanning enables rapid configuration even without radio expertise.
This makes the EW-DX EM 2 S4-10 a professional solution for broadcast, theatre, events or fixed installations requiring reliability, channel density and advanced network control.
