Electric Guitar Effects
The Commodore is inspired by the classic Marshall BluesBreaker and crossed with the Imperial MKII, for a wonderfully versatile and natural sounding overdrive. Carefully selected components and asymmetrical clipping give it an organic, natural sound ranging from soft and mellow to pleasant and spicy, while the Tone and Contour sliders let you dial in whatever you want.

Presentation
So what is the Marshall BluesBreaker and what makes it so great?
The Marshall BluesBreaker pedal was released in the early 90s alongside the ShredMaster and DriveMaster pedals in their large black box format and aimed to capture the crunch and breakup of their 1962 model combo amp nicknamed the Bluesbreaker made famous by Eric Clapton during his time with John Mayall and the Blues Breakers.
The pedal offered a beautiful, natural-sounding overdrive and became a firm favourite with musicians, with original units now fetching almost 4-figure sums.
Commodore offers a new twist on an old-school heavyweight by combining a specially tuned low-to-medium gain BB-style drive circuit with Imperial's super-sculpting output section.
Set the Drive low to sculpt or boost the sound, or crank it up for a searing overdrive.
Use the Tone and Contour sliders to accentuate or deepen your highs, lows or mids and stack them with other fuzz or drives for added flavour and variety.
You can power it from any standard 9VDC power supply or increase the voltage to 18 for extra headroom.
This is one of those pedals you could always leave on.
