Founded in 1994 in Los Angeles by composer Eric Persing and his wife Lorey, Spectrasonics quickly became a leading proponent of world-class sound libraries. As Roland’s chief sound designer since 1984, Eric was already well-known in the music industry for creating many of the most popular sounds in their classic synthesizers, including the groundbreaking Roland D-50. By infusing his years of expertise into product design, Spectrasonics has earned a reputation for setting the bar for excellence in the industry.
Spotlight on
After years spent at Roland as a renowned sound designer, Eric Persing created Spectrasonics in 1994. At the beginning, he was developing sampling-based sound banks, considered as references at the world level. With the advent of virtual instruments, Eric Persing has transposed his sounds and developed his creative possibilities to the delight of all. His greatest successes are Stylus RMX, Omnisphere, Trilian and Keyscape.
