SPL's Madison is a 16-channel, 24 bit/192 kHz MADI A/D and D/A converter. Today, broadcast and live professionals have relied on MADI for nearly 20 years, with its high-quality, jitter-free transmission of multiple audio channels, and its low-cost cabling that allows lengths of over a kilometre. Thanks to its rich I/O, SPL's Madison makes it child's play to integrate professional analogue equipment into large multi-channel infrastructures. With four reference levels, sampling frequencies from 44.1 to 192 kHz, multi-core analogue I/O, fibre optic MADI I/O and word clock I/O, the Madison fits in anywhere.

Presentation
As a company with a rich heritage in analogue audio engineering, SPL had the idea of integrating all its knowledge into the analogue sections of a converter.
Excellent converter technology requires the right analogue environment, and this is where a real difference can be made, a difference to existing solutions, and of course a difference to the sound.
The Madison's 36V rail-mounted analogue audio section achieves output levels of 24dBu. The result is simply astonishing. With its ease of use, flexibility of expansion and impeccable sound, Sonovente confirms that the Madison's price-per-channel ratio can set a new benchmark.
Up to four units can be connected to a single MADI port on a digital console, MADI PC card or other professional audio routing equipment. The MADI port offers excellent near-zero latency digital transmission of up to 64 I/Os with galvanic isolation.
And since MADI is the new studio I/O standard, the Madison is the perfect interface for home studios and professional recording studios.
Wherever you need reliable, pure conversion of multiple channels of analogue audio, the Madison does the job brilliantly. And for the first time, the analogue sound of the SPL arrives in digital environments!
