The FN15 AR is a limited-edition electro-acoustic folk guitar that showcases the wide-ranging talents of Takamine's Japanese luthiers. Its solid cedar top and Amazonian rosewood back and sides are finished in a superb satin-finish that reveals the wood grain.

This FN15 AR is the third model in the TEP3 series.
It combines a solid cedar top with Amazonian rosewood for the rest of the body, giving it a wilder feel than the original series.
The rosette has been redefined and the satin finish offers exceptional playing comfort.
It is equipped with a CTF-2N preamp, developed to mark the 60th anniversary of Takamine's creation of the Brownie model, which was acclaimed by legendary American artists such as Ry Cooder, David Lindley, the Eagles and Bruce Springsteen for its warm tone produced by the unique saturation of the FET amplification.
It comes with a high-quality semi-hard case that will protect it on most of your travels.

Les revues et démos présentent un produit exceptionnel, or j'ai été assez déçu par la qualité de finition de cette guitare, qui présentait quelques défauts : découpe de la rosace assez grossière, très léger décollement du binding de la table. À ce prix, c'est dommage. La jouabilité était parfaite mais le son ne m'a pas semblé, non plus, si exceptionnel. J'ai eu une Lag Tramontane quatre à cinq fois moins chère qui sonnait presque mieux, de mon point de vue.
Bref, une déception - pour le son cela reste subjectif, bien entendu.
