Presentation
Thanks to its dual A/D converters and 32-bit floating-point recording, the FR-AV4 captures a dynamic range exceeding 133 dB, preserving even the subtlest details whilst preventing clipping during sudden changes in level. Its four XLR/TRS combo inputs feature Tascam Ultra HDDA microphone preamps, renowned for their low background noise with an EIN of -127 dBu.
The unit allows you to record up to six tracks simultaneously onto an SDXC card: four tracks from the analogue inputs plus a stereo mix. Its built-in mixing console offers full control over levels and processing, with an equaliser, limiter, low-pass filter, noise gate, delay and advanced audio management functions.
The FR-AV4 also features a high-precision timecode generator with TCXO technology, as well as HDMI synchronisation functions to ensure perfect alignment of audio and video. The HDMI connection supports 4K/8K video signal pass-through, integrated multichannel audio and even allows automatic triggering of recording from a compatible camera.
