The Tascam MX-8A is a professional 8x8 matrix mixer with advanced DSP and a USB audio interface for maximum flexibility. Designed for conference rooms, retail stores, restaurants, courtrooms or event venues, it offers 8 mic/line inputs and 8 line outputs, as well as a stereo USB I/O for use as an audio interface for video conferencing platforms and audio software.

Equipped with a powerful DSP engine, the MX-8A provides precise and efficient audio signal processing. Each input benefits from a 4-band parametric EQ, compressor and automatic level control, while each output has a 10-band EQ, limiter and delay.

Advanced features such as Auto Ducking and Ambient Noise Compensation allow intelligent management of sound levels, ensuring optimal intelligibility of announcements and background music.

Tascam mic preamps deliver studio-quality audio, with an equivalent input noise of less than -126 dBu and a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 108 dB. With the MX Connect app (macOS, Windows, iOS, Android), installers can quickly set up the mixer and define the controls accessible to users. For simplified local control, the RC-W100 wall panel (optional) allows you to adjust the volume and select the audio source.

The built-in USB interface (2 in / 2 out) allows you to connect a computer and use the MX-8A with audio software or video conferencing platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Recording, music playback or live mixing are thus possible with reduced latency.

In terms of connectivity, the MX-8A has balanced Euroblock connectors for its analog inputs and outputs, and can be controlled via Ethernet, RS-232C or RS-485. It is also possible to store and recall up to 50 scene memories, facilitating adaptation to different event configurations or fixed installations.
