The Phoenix SB from Thermionic Culture is a 2-channel tube compressor. This is the standard version of the Phoenix compressor, which also exists in Mastering version. The Phoenix is a stereo compressor that can be used as a pair of mono compressors. It has features "soft knee" or "variable mu" in that the compression ratio increases with the amount of compression used. The initial compression is 1.2: 1 increasing to 5: 1 at 15dB of compression. The Phoenix is constantly updated this version "2011/12" (suffix QSB) is equipped with a sidechain filter and standby switch.
