With IRCAM Prepared Piano 2, the renowned Paris-based publisher UVI has updated its powerful sound collection with a host of new features and improvements. The effects section has been completely redesigned, powerful arpeggiators including our Rain Arp have been added and the graphical interface optimised to make it more user-friendly. This is an ideal instrument for musicians and sound designers alike.
As well as the traditional 'sustain' playing technique (the sound of the piano in its raw state, without any preparation), you'll have access to these preparations:
- Extended playing techniques: Mallets, Pizzicato, Bow, Cue, Scrape, Harmonics, Cue - rebound, Cue - rebound and mute, Ebow
- Objects inserted between the strings: Rubber, Small spring clothes pegs, Screws/bolts, Screws/bolts + loose nut (buzzing), Coins
- Objects placed on the strings: iPhone, Sheet of paper, Aluminium foil, Finger mute near a bridge
- Effects: Glass slips, Bar taps, Pronounced length
