The Warm Audio Peach Fuzz is a limited-edition fuzz pedal born out of a collaboration with Dan Auerbach and The Black Keys, centred on a vintage take on the 1970s octave and fuzz circuit. Its distortion ranges from a smooth tone to a gritty texture, with an octave control ideal for riffs and solos. The Warm Audio ‘The Black Keys Peach Fuzz’, Limited Edition is an analogue fuzz pedal inspired by 1970s models, with a design tailored to modern uses. It covers a range from subtle crunch to thick distortion, with a response suited to heavy riffs, dense chords and melodic lines that need to maintain a strong presence in the mix.

The collaboration with Dan Auerbach has resulted in a targeted enhancement of the upper octave function, with a control allowing the effect to be either continuously engaged or activated momentarily. On the Peach Fuzz model, this feature expands the musical possibilities for accents, phrase endings and passages where an octave boost appears and then disappears without altering the rest of the fuzz settings. This function also adds an expressive dimension to riffs and solos.

In terms of construction, Warm Audio has opted for a 100 per cent analogue design featuring NOS Fairchild 2N3565 transistors, 1N34A germanium diodes, carbon resistors and high-end film capacitors. The printed circuit boards feature gold-plated pads; the true bypass circuit preserves the signal path without the effect; and the hand-assembled units also undergo individual quality control in Austin. This combination of carefully selected components and meticulous manufacturing processes reinforces the vintage feel sought after for this fuzz pedal.

The control panel features Volume, Sustain and a Mellow or Brit selector, along with a higher octave switch and a dedicated Hold function. This layout allows you to shape the fuzz from a subtle texture to massive saturation, and then add an octave depending on the musical context. The unit retains a distinctive aesthetic thanks to its peach-coloured velvet finish, which stems directly from the collaboration with The Black Keys and their 2026 album *Peaches!*.

In a live setting, the Warm Audio Peach Fuzz can be used to make octave lines roar over a riff, with a presence that naturally draws the ear to the melodic passages.

The momentary switch will allow guitarists inspired by The Black Keys to apply this effect to specific accents, without sustaining the octave throughout the passage.

It will also lend a distinctive tone to blues rock, garage or psychedelic guitar tracks, with distortion ranging from a subtle grain to a much denser texture.

The Peach Fuzz will also come into its own in arrangements where an upper octave emphasises a solo, a repetitive motif or an instrumental transition.
