Tourus speakers use the largest HF voice coils in their class. All models use a 1.75″ voice coil, which is unique in this price range. This custom-built Wharfedale Pro compression driver delivers crisp, accurate high frequencies, even at extreme volumes. The 12" and 15" models feature a Class AB amp for high frequencies and a Class D amp for low frequencies, specifically tuned for the HF and LF drivers we've chosen. This ensures perfect power and frequency transfer, resulting in the sound experience you'd expect from a Wharfedale Pro active loudspeaker.

Convection cooling
The two amplifiers inside a Tourus are extremely efficient.
So efficient that they can use convection cooling. This means there are no fans! Fans inside loudspeakers can add to operating noise, weight, price and can lead to reliability problems. The Tourus has no fan! Ssssssh! - Quiet and reliable operation.

Bluetooth models with internal mp3 player
Tourus- MBT models are equipped with BLUETOOTH and USB inputs. It's quick and easy to pair your mobile device via BLUETOOTH, allowing high-quality wireless audio to be streamed into the Tourus. MBT models also feature TWS pairing. Easily link two Tourus together - wirelessly. You can also insert a USB stick containing audio files (.wav, .flac, .mp3) and control backing tracks or background music with the rear transport controls.

Optional soft covers
Featuring soft internal padding, these optional 'soft cover' accessories are ideal for simple transportation or as a cover when the Tourus is not in use. The Tourus' carrying handles are easily accessible, even when it's in its soft cover.
