Yamaha - CK76
The Yamaha CK76 76-key stage keyboard opens up a musical playground where expressive pianos sit alongside vibrant organs and synthetic textures. Its sleek design and user-friendly controls foster a direct connection with the sound, without turning every adjustment into a treasure hunt. Lighter and more compact than the CK88, it retains an extended range for rich arrangements and ambitious melodic passages. Its built-in speakers offer welcome freedom, with on-board sound reproduction that means you don’t have to bring out the big guns just for a few notes.
Presentation
The CK OS 2.0 update expands the sound library with new electric pianos, including the 67RD Dark/Bright, 74RD Stage and WR Wide variants. This variety provides plenty of material for arrangements, covers and original compositions, without the need for multiple instruments on stage.
With this update, the CK76 also gains 16 Live Set Sounds and an advanced Split mode, which allows parts to be assigned to specific zones of the keyboard. These features make it easier to set up configurations tailored to individual tracks, with more flexible sound allocation and simplified adjustments.
Its 76-key semi-weighted FSB keyboard offers a response well-suited to electric piano, organ and synth parts. The intermediate key count, falling between 61 and 88 keys, leaves more scope for simultaneous chords and melodies. A well-thought-out compromise that lets you play with ease without having to transport a full-size piano.
The CK76’s physical controls allow for instant adjustments whilst playing. Each knob controls a specific function, making it easy to tweak the sound without having to navigate through lengthy menus. Filters, saturation, modulation, delays and reverbs allow you to shape timbres to suit the track. This gives you full control over the nuances, with an interface designed for real-time adjustments.
The organ section, featuring harmonic drawbars, offers a familiar approach to keyboardists drawn to traditional organ sounds. Direct control over harmonic components makes it easy to shape the tone, allowing you to shift from a soft sound to a more assertive presence. This section complements the pianos and synthesisers, offering another way to sculpt the sound at your fingertips.
Bluetooth connectivity and the stereo microphone input expand the Yamaha CK76’s connection options. The built-in speakers allow for standalone listening, without having to rely on an external sound system. This design is ideal for rehearsals, demonstrations and set-ups where a portable stage keyboard needs to be simple to set up.
