Yamaha - MODX-M7
Under your fingers, the MODX-M7 exudes both power and finesse, fusing the raw energy of its 3 sound engines with a rare flexibility of execution. Yamaha's new FSB semi-weighted keyboard has been developed to respond with a precision that brings every nuance to life, every attack more expressive, every silence denser. Designed to travel between studio and stage, this synth is conceived as a multi-layered playground, where digital textures meet analogue grains warmed by the AN-X engine, while the FM-X projects metallic timbres of almost three-dimensional clarity. Taken together, the result is an instrument designed to provoke emotion as much as efficiency, a synthesiser that transforms inspiration into sound, with a hint of cheeky insolence.
Presentation
The MODX-M7's semi-weighted and balanced Yamaha FSB keyboard has been developed to offer a firmer feel and precise bounce, ideal for moving from rhythmic playing to silky strings. Dynamic feedback creates a direct link between your touch and the sound texture, making every musical phrase as fluid as it is legible.
You're greeted by a 7-inch colour touchscreen, with a clear, intuitive interface. Navigating between Performances, Live Sets or Arpeggios becomes instinctive, even during a busy set. The physical controllers - Super Knob, faders, multiple assignments - extend the musical gesture right down to the detail of the mix, for straightforward control.
The MODX-M7's 16-track sequencer lets you build arrangements with surgical precision. With 128 patterns, 128 songs and over 10,000 arpeggios, you'll enter an infinite sonic space where every idea is sculpted live, with no loss of creative flow or technical constraints.
Connected via USB MIDI 2.0, it integrates naturally into your digital environment. Yamaha has also developed the ESP (Expanded Softsynth Plugin), which reproduces the full functionality of the MODX-M7, directly in your DAW, and Cubase AI, included, accompanies you to record, edit and mix without friction. The result: total consistency between physical playing and software creation.
