The new baby from Sequential and founder Dave Smith is a powerful, portable 5-voice polyphonic synth. It's also the brand's most affordable ever.
Ergonomic: you have virtually one button per function for immediate control of parameters.
The ingenious split-key function gives you access to a wider playing range than other compact synths by allowing you to divide the splittable 3.5-octave keyboard into two zones.
Although the Take 5's look is reminiscent of the Pro 3's design, it stands out in terms of its sound and features. A pleasant detail is the vintage control, which reproduces the component vagaries typical of the old 100% analogue synthesizers (oscillator drift, filter, envelope behaviour). In this way, the best possible vintage sound is obtained.

The Take 5's five voices get their distinctive sound from a combination of two analogue VCOs and a sub-oscillator running through a Prophet-5 4-pole analogue filter. The result is a classic Sequential - a smooth, warm, punchy sound that blends perfectly into a mix and comes through loud and clear on stage. For even more analogue-style quality, a Vintage button adds voice-to-voice variation for true vintage character. Two digital effects, a dedicated overdrive, continuously variable wave shaping and front panel access to analogue FM ensure that the Take 5 can launch a modern sound as easily as a vintage one.
