Yamaha - Revstar Standard RSS02T-FRD Fired Red + Housse
Yamaha is hitting back with the Revstar Standard RSS02T-FRD Fired Red, an electric guitar that combines sleek looks with sonic ingenuity. Its Acoustic Design mahogany chambered body, topped by a maple top, balances featherweight and muscular sustain with almost insolent ease. The carbon-reinforced mahogany neck stays on course under the hand and strings, for a clean, stable feel. In terms of temperament, its 2 P90 VP5 pickups, combined with a 5-position selector and focus switch, open up a wide spectrum of sound, from edgy to refined, depending on your mood. Add to that the aluminium racing tailpiece and brilliant Fired Red varnish, and you've got a riff machine calibrated to roar as well as shine.
Presentation
Under the bodywork, the sound engine impresses. With its two P90 VP5 pickups and 5-position selector switch, you can move effortlessly from a fat, velvety roar to near-crystalline clarity. The focus switch adds a passive boost that immediately changes the colour of your playing, perfect for giving body to a solo or thickening a riff. The acoustic balance of the chambered body means the sustain stays with every attack, without ever tiring your shoulder, even over long hours of playing.
Yamaha has taken great care with the technical side of things, and has also extended the visual palette. The RSS02T is now available in stylish colours: elegant Vintage White, refreshing Sonic Blue and flamboyant Fired Red. Each of these colours tells a different story, but they all share the same high-gloss lacquer finish that transforms the guitar into a collector's item ready for a big sound.
