Presentation
The Yamaha TAG1 E Natural builds on the foundations of TransAcoustic technology in a more traditional configuration, centred on a dreadnought format with no cutaway. This version focuses on acoustic projection and ease of use, while retaining the essential features of this second generation.
The principle remains the same: an integrated actuator uses the guitar body to generate the effects. Unlike a conventional amplified system, the reverb and chorus are produced directly in the wood, so the response remains natural and consistent with the way the guitar is played. The effect is immediately perceptible without the addition of any external equipment, whether in rehearsal or playing at home.
The different types of reverb and chorus can be accessed directly from the on-board controls. The delay can be activated and adjusted via the mobile app, which also lets you manage certain additional parameters. The built-in looper lets you record and overdub phrases, making it really easy to work without any additional configuration.
TAG1 E is powered by two AA batteries, making it easy to use and eliminating the need for a rechargeable battery. This approach makes it particularly suitable for immediate use, without the need for recharging.
The solid spruce top and mahogany body combine to produce a full, balanced response typical of the dreadnought format. The soundstage emphasises projection and presence in the bass, with a good foundation for the accompaniment.
The result is a versatile guitar that's easy to integrate into a variety of contexts, with direct access to effects and no need to rely on a technical environment.
