The Yamaha TAG1 E Translucent Black is part of the second generation of TransAcoustic, with a focus on simplicity and efficiency. This model uses a classic dreadnought format, with no cutaway, a wide acoustic response and direct use, with no need to rely on an external system.

Operation is based on an internal actuator that transforms the guitar body into a true source of diffusion. Reverb and chorus effects are generated mechanically through the wood, maintaining a natural coherence with the basic sound. This direct interaction with the structure of the instrument creates a progressive sense of space that follows the playing without artificial breaks.

The various effects can be accessed directly from the on-board controls, allowing you to adapt the sound quickly. Delay is available via the mobile app, allowing parameters to be fine-tuned as required. A built-in looper lets you record and layer phrases, making it easy to work solo or experiment without additional equipment.

This TAG1 E version runs on two AA batteries, a deliberate choice that favours immediate use with no need to manage recharging. This means it can be used flexibly, particularly in contexts where rapid installation is important.

The luthiery combines a solid spruce top with a mahogany body, offering good projection and a balanced response. The dreadnought format gives the bass a strong presence, ideal for accompaniment. The Translucent Black finish reveals the wood grain in a dark hue, adding a more modern aesthetic while retaining a certain sobriety.
