Presentation
The Yamaha TAS1 E Natural incorporates the fundamentals of TransAcoustic technology in a concert format that's more compact and more accurate in its response. This version, with no cutaway, focuses on playing comfort and definition, while retaining a simple, self-contained approach thanks to battery power.
The operating principle is based on an actuator built into the body, which sets the wood in vibration to produce the effects. Unlike a conventional amplified system, the reverb and chorus are generated directly by the structure of the guitar. The result is a natural sound, with continuity between the acoustic sound and the added effects, and no artificial sensation.
The reverb and chorus settings are accessible directly on the instrument, so you can quickly adapt the sound to suit the context. The delay is available via the mobile app, allowing you to make further adjustments. The built-in looper lets you layer phrases, making it easy to work out ideas or build arrangements without additional equipment.
This TAS1 E version runs on two AA batteries, making it easy to use and eliminating the need to recharge. This choice makes the instrument particularly suitable for mobile or occasional use, with immediate start-up.
The bodywork combines a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides. The concert format emphasises the midrange and precision, with a more balanced and controlled response. This type of format is well suited to nuanced playing, fingerstyle or situations where clarity is required.
