1010music - Nanobox Razzmatazz

Designed to create rhythms anywhere, the 1010music Nanobox Razzmatazz is a compact drum sequencer that combines FM synthesis and sampling in a format that’s easy to integrate into any setup. Its 8 pads, which can be operated via the touchscreen or with a MIDI controller, allow you to quickly play and programme drum and percussion sounds.

The visual sequencer simultaneously displays the status of the 8 pads across 16 steps, making it easy to build rhythms. The 120 included kits and sequences mean you can get started straight away, whilst the presets cover genres including dub, techno, IDM, classic rock and soul.

Each pad can combine two FM oscillators and a WAV file, and can then be shaped using filters, envelopes, distortion, a resonator, a snap generator and additional effects. The line input also allows you to create sounds and samples of up to 30 seconds, whilst your own WAV files can be loaded via micro-SD.

With its MIDI, audio and clock connections, as well as its USB-C power supply, the Razzmatazz integrates seamlessly with a range of equipment. Its compact dimensions of 95.25 x 76.2 x 38.1 mm and weight of approximately 0.11 kg make it easy to use on the move and integrate into a portable music setup.
