With the Sub8 PRO, ADAM Audio delivers a precise and well-controlled studio subwoofer. Its DSP, Class D amplification and 8-inch woofer shape the bass with a tight response.
Remote control changes the way you work with this connected monitor subwoofer. The ADAM Control app adjusts the delay and a 4-band parametric equaliser, and incorporates SoundID Reference profiles created in Sonarworks to fine-tune the acoustic calibration directly.
For set-ups going beyond a 2.1 system, the Sub8 PRO features an AES3 output, as well as balanced analogue XLR and TRS connections. The LFE mode, with a cut-off at 120 Hz, supports Dolby Atmos workflows, whilst the Wide mode extends the frequency response and allows greater flexibility in bass management.
Its mechanical design also underpins the level of control sought by ADAM Audio, particularly in the bass frequencies and over time. The long-excursion woofer utilises a fibre-reinforced paper cone, a rubber surround and a ferrite motor stabilised by demodulation rings, whilst the vent, designed using FEA analysis, minimises turbulence. The thick MDF cabinet and its reinforcements help to contain resonances, whilst a steel grille protects the driver.
