The API 527 compressor/limiter brings the same character and response found in their API 2500 stereo compressor, thanks to the two methods of gain reduction, 'feed forward' and 'feed back'.
These technologies, developed by API, enable the 527 mono compressor to cover a wide range of tones, from classic warmth to modern precision.
The 527 also offers a wide range of threshold, attack and decay parameters that give you an extensive degree of control over your compression. The API527's attack and decay buttons make recalling your favourite settings easy and reliable. And because the API 527 uses both the 2510 and 2520 discrete amplifiers, you get the signature API sound straight away.
