Presentation
Insert your favourite 500 series modules into this 8-slot API LunchBox. The 8-slot LunchBox offers constant 250mA power to each slot, ensuring full compatibility with API 500 series and VPR-compatible modules.
This Lunch Box-8 features everything that made the 6-slot API chassis (500-6B) such as DB-25 D-Sub connectivity for easy I/O and cabling, phantom power for condenser mics and a rubber carrying handle, which you can swap for an optional rack-mount kit (available here from Sonovente) for fixed installation.
The API 500-8B comes with an internal 48 volt phantom power supply connected to pin 15 for use with API 512c preamps.
