ONE is a USB audio interface with a self powered input, stereo output, and designed for easy use with GarageBand, Logic, Soundtrack Pro 2 Apple or any Core Audio compliant application. ONE offers the musician or music enthusiast flexibility and unmatched portability.
ONE has an inlet channel and two analog output channels using the legendary Apogee conversion circuits. The input channel features a microphone preamp Apogee controlled digitally with phantom power. This preamp control both an external microphone via the XLR connector as an integrated internal microphone to the interface. A special mic preamp instruments used to amplify guitars, bass and keyboards. On output, ONE has a mini-jack to connect to stereo headphones or powered speakers.
Compact and stylish, ONE fits naturally into the Apogee range. High-end components of the ONE have been assembled in an elegant and sturdy black casing, topped with a chrome rotary encoder knob. At the surface, a peak meter three segment displays the input and output levels, four light icons indicate the current function. As Duet, each function of the interface is selected with a click of the rotary encoder.
Bottom of the case is the internal condenser microphone. While using sophisticated acoustic techniques to position the microphone in the interface area, Apogee developed the technology Tuned Aperture Microphone ™ for a very small microphone, but with excellent frequency response.
