The iconic Scarlett Solo is now in its 4th generation. This high-quality audio interface, ideal for music creators, offers a wide range of versatility. It features a low-noise mic preamp, an Hi-Z input for instruments, a wide 120dB dynamic range, an Air mode for professional sound quality, dynamic gain halos, a powerful headphone amp, a loopback function for creating your own samples, and an easy installation process thanks to Easy Start. The good news for February 2025 is that Pro Tools Artist has been replaced by Pro Tools Intro+! What changes? More than 80 new plugins and VSTs, exclusive to owners of a Scarlett G4, and above all, the licence is PERPETUAL!
Presentation
At the heart of this new generation is a redesigned Scarlett mic preamp, with enhanced clarity, improved dynamic range and enough gain to get the best out of dynamic mics like the Shure SM7B. The XLR mic input features switchable 48V phantom power, while the 6.35mm Hi-Z instrument input accepts high-level signals, perfect for guitars, basses or synths. Two balanced jack outputs provide direct connection to monitor speakers, complemented by a dedicated headphone output with independent level control.
Power supply via USB-C ensures immediate compatibility with Mac/PC computers and recent iPads, with no external power supply required. The whole package is ultra-compact (143 x 45.4 x 96 mm, 400 g), ideal for nomadic set-ups or minimalist home studios.
New for 2025, the Scarlett Solo 4th Gen now comes with a perpetual licence of Pro Tools Intro+ and exclusive access to over 80 effects and instrument plug-ins, available only to Focusrite users. Enough to start a complete production without additional software.

Sortie son un peu faible donc prévoir des enceintes amplifiées bien dimensionnées (j'ai mis des presonus 25w x 2, c'est un peu faible)
Par contre je déconseille les suites logiciels proposés gratuitement. N'ayant jamais utilisé de logiciels de MAO, j'ai été perdu et me suis orienté vers cubase 13 elements, bien plus simple et complet, pour un tarif très abordable
