Audio Technica - ATH-WP900SE Sunburst Limited Edition
The ATH-WP900SE headphones combine Audio-Technica’s renowned quality with a meticulously crafted solid ash frame finished in a glossy three-tone sunburst. Each driver is handcrafted in collaboration with Fujigen, a Japanese manufacturer renowned in the world of electric guitars. The sound reproduction focuses on rendering stringed instruments with precision and clarity. Its optimised acoustic design ensures stable signal reproduction across the entire frequency range, in conjunction with a new-generation moving coil.
Presentation
The design of the solid ash wood housing influences the overall tonal character. The three-tone sunburst finish applied by Fujigen lends a visual signature inspired by electric guitars.
The precisely tuned acoustic structure ensures clear separation of the audio channels, delivering a stable sound reproduction thanks to its 53 mm drivers, which contribute to a detailed rendering of sonic variations across the entire audible spectrum.
These transducers incorporate a redesigned moving coil to improve signal linearity, whilst controlled ventilation reduces internal resonances to maintain consistency at low frequencies.
