The OC818 Dual Set Go embodies Austrian Audio's most accomplished vision of a versatile condenser microphone. The spiritual heir to the legendary CK12 capsule, the OC818 uses the CKR12 ceramic capsule, designed and manufactured entirely by hand in Vienna, to deliver an extremely fine sound reproduction, capable of capturing the slightest nuances while withstanding high sound pressure levels.

Each OC818 microphone offers full multi-pattern operation, with conventional polar patterns built in, as well as the ability to create and store custom polar patterns. This flexibility makes it possible to tailor the pick-up precisely to the source, room acoustics and artistic intent, whether for vocals, acoustic instruments, ensembles, drums or complex ambient pick-ups.

The real strength of the OC818 lies in its accessible dual-diaphragm architecture. Thanks to the Mini XLR output dedicated to the rear diaphragm, users can exploit the Austrian Audio software ecosystem to go far beyond traditional recording. The PolarDesigner, StereoCreator and AmbiCreator tools make it possible to modify polar patterns after recording, design advanced stereo techniques in post-production or create immersive Ambisonics-type content with a degree of freedom rarely achieved.

The system goes even further with the possibility of wireless control via the optional OCR8 module and the PolarPilot application. Directionality, low-cut filter and attenuator settings can then be adjusted remotely in real time, directly from the control room, radically transforming the studio workflow.

The Dual Set Go is designed as a ready-to-use kit.
