Presentation
The DE640P 8 Ohm Driver from B&C Speakers is based on the ring radiator motor architecture of the 640 Series, with a HT polymer diaphragm designed to provide stable behaviour and balanced reproduction across the entire high frequency spectrum.
Combined with a 65 mm voice coil, this diaphragm maintains good power handling while preserving accurate high-frequency reproduction. The frequency response extends from 1 kHz to 18 kHz, with a sensitivity of 109 dB, making it easy to integrate into high-performance systems.
The recommended crossover point of 1.2 kHz allows coherent connection with bass drivers in two-way configurations, whether in compact loudspeakers or line array systems. The annular radiator principle contributes to even diffusion and good definition of transients.
The neodymium magnet assembly keeps weight down while maintaining high flux. The presence of a copper demodulation ring improves the motor's linearity and reduces the effects of distortion, particularly at high levels.
