B&C Speakers - DE60TN 8 Ohm Driver

The B&C Speakers DE60TN 8 Ohm is an ideal compression driver for two-way speakers or compact PA systems. With its sensitivity of 107 dB, it delivers a clear, powerful signal without straining the amplification, while retaining excellent dynamic reserve. It is perfectly suited to mobile applications, stage monitors or high-output installed loudspeakers.

The heart of the motor is a 75 mm aluminium voice coil coupled to a titanium diaphragm. This combination ensures excellent transient response and stable mechanical behaviour, even with prolonged use. Extreme high-frequency processing is optimised by a copper demodulation ring, which limits distortion at the top of the band and ensures a smoother, more nuanced reproduction.

The 1.4-inch output allows compatibility with many standard horns, while its response range of 1 kHz to 18 kHz provides sufficient amplitude to cover the high frequencies without break-up. With a recommended crossover frequency of 1.2 kHz, the motor can be easily integrated into simple or advanced configurations, while retaining good tonal coherence.

The motor is powered by a ferrite magnet generating a field strength of 1.6 Tesla, ensuring excellent control of diaphragm movement. Even at high levels, the DE60TN remains readable and accurate, making it reliable for continuous use in professional contexts.

With a diameter of 156 mm and a depth of 66 mm, it is easy to fit into most enclosures. Mounted by 4 M6 screws on a 102 mm circle, it is compatible with a wide range of horns, making it easy to maintain and replace both on tour and during installation.

Its 110W AES power rating (and 220W in programme) ensures a power handling capacity that is well suited to modern systems. It's a motor built to last, combining acoustic quality, robustness and flexibility for integration into professional projects.
