Engine and Compression

1.4" compression driver with 65 mm voice coil and HT polymer diaphragm, offering 109 dB sensitivity and response up to 18 kHz, suitable for two-way speakers and line array systems.

ARTICLE N° 121056
The DE640P 16 Ohm Driver from B&C Speakers is based on the design of the 640 Series ring radiator motor, with an impedance adapted to certain passive configurations or systems requiring specific load management.

This model uses a HT polymer diaphragm combined with a 65 mm voice coil. This choice of material provides good thermal stability and a homogeneous response at the top end of the spectrum. Reproduction remains precise, with good definition of transients and smooth diffusion behaviour.

With a sensitivity of 109 dB and a bandwidth of 1 kHz to 18 kHz, this driver can be easily integrated into compact two-way loudspeakers or line array systems. The recommended crossover point of 1.2 kHz allows effective connection with the woofer while maintaining overall system coherence.

The neodymium magnet assembly keeps weight down while maintaining a high level of flux. The copper demodulation ring improves motor linearity and helps reduce distortion, particularly at high levels.
