The B&C Speakers DE1080TN 16 Ohm Driver is designed for PA systems looking for clarity and power at high frequencies. Thanks to its completely redesigned titanium diaphragm and optimised geometry, it guarantees more linear and natural treble reproduction, even beyond 10 kHz. It's a solid choice for applications where speech intelligibility and detail definition are paramount.
With a 100 mm aluminium voice coil and a power handling capacity of 140 W AES (280 W programme), this motor can withstand heavy use without faltering. The 1.95 T magnetic flux, combined with a copper demodulation ring, limits distortion and ensures stable operation, even at high volume. The result is controlled dynamics and clean, unaggressive sound.
The compression driver has a 1.5-inch (38 mm) output, a format that balances directivity and openness. Its high sensitivity of 109dB offers remarkable efficiency, reducing the need for amplified power to achieve high sound levels. This efficiency/power ratio makes it an ideal solution for contractors and installers requiring consistent performance.
In terms of design, the DE1080TN is based on a compact neodymium motor architecture, with a depth reduced to just 60 mm. This makes it easy to fit into PA enclosures where space is at a premium, while reducing the overall weight of the system.
