B&C Speakers - DE111 16 Ohm Driver

The B&C Speakers DE111 16 Ohm was designed for those looking to maximize every inch of their speaker without sacrificing high-frequency precision. Inspired by the DE110, this ultra-compact driver goes a step further by lowering the crossover frequency to 1.2 kHz, allowing for a lower crossover with the midrange section.

This improvement was made possible thanks to an evolution in the cone: the surround and dome are now made of ketone polymer, a material known for its lightness and fatigue resistance, particularly well-suited to modern sound systems, such as line arrays or compact on-board modules.

With its 60 mm diameter, the DE111 fits easily where other drivers take up too much space. Its 36 mm aluminum voice coil allows it to handle 50 W continuous power (up to 70 W in program mode) while maintaining excellent efficiency with a sensitivity of 108.5 dB.

This level of efficiency, coupled with a linear response between 1 and 17 kHz, makes it particularly attractive for compact two-way systems, discrete monitors, or small full-range speakers.

Under the hood, there's a neodymium magnet motor that develops a magnetic field of 1.8 T, combined with a low inductance of 0.14 mH. This ensures a fast response, excellent transient responsiveness, and reliable performance, even in passages rich in harmonic content. Its installation is easy: two 180° M5 screws with a diameter of 52 mm are sufficient to securely mount it.

The DE111 is suitable for both fixed and mobile applications. It is aimed at those building loudspeakers where every millimeter and every gram count, without compromising on sound quality.
