The DE25 16 Ohm compression driver is part of B&C Speakers' range of classic high-frequency drivers, renowned for their balance of efficiency, stability and sonic neutrality.
It is designed for professional applications requiring reliable high-frequency reproduction, whether in mobile PA systems or fixed installations.
Featuring a 25 mm (1") throat, the DE25 is compatible with a wide selection of standard horns from the brand and the market. Its useful operating range extends from 1.5 kHz to 18 kHz, with a recommended cut-off frequency of at least 2.2 kHz, combined with filtering of at least 12 dB/octave.
This configuration guarantees stable motor operation, while preserving the linearity of the response and the mechanical strength of the diaphragm.
The Mylar diaphragm plays a central role in the behaviour of the DE25. This low-mass material promotes a particularly smooth frequency response, while limiting distortion at the top end of the spectrum.
It also contributes to good thermal endurance, suitable for prolonged use in professional broadcast systems. The 44 mm aluminium voice coil contributes to this stability, ensuring efficient heat dissipation and high efficiency.
