The B&C DE25 is a 1-inch compression driver appreciated for its balance between smooth highs and power handling. Its Mylar diaphragm gives it a clear, unaggressive sound, making it a reliable choice for small to medium-sized multi-purpose loudspeakers. The B&C Speakers DE25 compression driver belongs to a previous generation, but it still has a solid place in many loudspeaker systems today, particularly in fixed installations, mobile sound systems and stage monitors.
Its design is based on a 1-inch output combined with a 44 mm voice coil, large enough to handle sustained sound levels without loss of clarity. The Mylar diaphragm helps to ensure that high frequencies are reproduced more smoothly than in some more recent models with titanium diaphragms, while preserving excellent definition at the top end of the spectrum.
With a claimed sensitivity of 108.5 dB (1W/1m), the DE25 can be integrated into high-performance systems without the need for particularly powerful amplification.
It accepts crossover from 2.2 kHz, allowing it to work comfortably with woofers from 6 to 15 inches, depending on the type of loudspeaker design. Many Italian and Spanish professional loudspeakers have used it for over ten years, proving its reliability over time.
