The DE640U 16 Ohm Driver from B&C Speakers uses the same architecture as the 8 Ohm version, with impedance matching for more flexible integration into certain passive systems or specific amplifier configurations.
This compression driver with annular radiator is based on a 65 mm coil combined with a polyimide diaphragm. This choice of material guarantees good thermal resistance and stability over time, even under sustained conditions of use. The design ensures that the high frequencies are reproduced accurately, with a regular behaviour in the dispersion zone.
With a sensitivity of 109 dB and a frequency response ranging from 1 kHz to 18 kHz, this model is easily adapted to compact two-way configurations as well as line array systems. The recommended crossover point of 1.2 kHz facilitates connection with a bass speaker, while maintaining good sonic coherence.
The neodymium magnet reduces the overall weight of the motor while maintaining a high magnetic field. The addition of a copper demodulation ring helps to improve linearity and limit distortion, particularly at high levels.
