B&C Speakers - DE7 16 Ohm Driver

The B&C Speakers DE7 16 Ohm is a compact compression driver that packs into a diameter of just 62 mm the essentials expected of a high-frequency driver for compact systems.

Designed for applications where weight, space, and ease of integration are critical criteria, this model is ideal for portable speakers, monitoring speakers, or small floorstanding speakers for fixed installations.

It features a 25 mm aluminum voice coil mounted on a polyester (Mylar) diaphragm, a technical choice that promotes smooth and natural reproduction in the high end. Its frequency response extends from 2 to 18 kHz with a beautiful finesse, and a sensitivity of 109 dB allows for effective sound levels without requiring high power.

The DE7 operates ideally from a 2.5 kHz cutoff, making it compatible with a wide range of small-diameter bass and midrange drivers.

This driver uses a ferrite magnet motor delivering a magnetic field of 1.65 T, with a moderate inductance of 0.16 mH. It is designed to operate at a nominal power of 10 W (20 W in program mode), making it sufficient for low- to medium-power systems where clarity is more important than volume.

Weighing only 170 g, it is ideal for on-board configurations or subwoofers where every gram counts.
