The B&C Speakers WGXDE820TN 8 Ohm Driver + ME242 brings together two reference components: the DE820TN compression driver, renowned for its linearity and robustness, and the ME242 horn, optimised for line-array systems. This assembly combines power, precision and stability, offering faithful reproduction of high frequencies in the most demanding environments.
The DE820TN motor features a 3-inch (75 mm) aluminium voice coil combined with a titanium diaphragm, guaranteeing fast, accurate response up to 18 kHz. Its sensitivity of 107 dB SPL and nominal power of 110 W AES (220 W continuous) ensure high sound pressure levels with minimal distortion. The neodymium magnet system, fitted with a short-circuiting copper cap, improves the linearity of the magnetic field and reduces harmonic distortion for a more natural sound reproduction.
The ME242 horn, in cast aluminium, complements the motor perfectly. Designed for line-array applications, it delivers a constant horizontal dispersion of 120° and effective loading from 800 Hz, guaranteeing even sound coverage throughout the listening area.
Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high-quality materials, the WGXDE820TN 8 Ohm Driver + ME242 offers a balance of power, precision and reliability, making it an ideal solution for touring sound systems and high-performance fixed installations.
