The B&C Speakers WGXDE990TN 8 Ohm Driver + ME242 is a high-end combination designed for professional line-array systems. The set combines the DE990TN driver, a model of precision and power, with the ME242 horn, specially designed to provide constant and homogeneous horizontal coverage of 120°.
The DE990TN motor is based on an 86 mm (3.4 in) CCAW (Copper Clad Aluminium Wire) coil and a titanium diaphragm, ensuring clear, accurate reproduction throughout the range from 500 Hz to 18 kHz. Its sensitivity of 107.5 dB SPL and rated power of 100 W AES (200 W continuous) guarantee dynamic and powerful reproduction of high frequencies. The neodymium magnet assembly is fitted with a copper shorting cap, which stabilises magnetic flux and reduces harmonic distortion, improving linearity and sonic fidelity.
The ME242 horn, made from cast aluminium, complements the driver with its smooth response and precise dispersion control. Its efficient loading from 800 Hz and optimised line-array design make it a reference choice for professional PA applications requiring consistent coverage and a high level of performance.
