Ready to adapt to your preferences
Whether you're connecting directly to your amplifier or to multiple amplifiers, the BOSS SY-1000 synth pedal is ready to adapt to your playing style. Its pedals are freely configurable, so you can put your most useful functions right at your fingertips. The outputs are also freely assignable, allowing you to distribute the signal as you see fit. For example, you can send synth sounds to a separate amplifier, or record your guitar and synth sounds on separate tracks in your DAW. There's even a send/return effects loop built right into the SY-1000, so you can add your favourite effects pedals to the mix.

Create hybrid guitar and bass sounds
By connecting your guitar or bass to the SY-1000 along with your pickup (sold separately) and instrument output, you can combine the sounds of your instrument and synth to create an infinite range of sonic textures. Add a saw-wave synth sound to your guitar to take your solos to new heights. Add pads to your bass sound to create extra octaves of sonic interest. With the ability to dial in three instruments simultaneously, the different tonal combinations you can create are virtually infinite.

Dynamic Synth engine makes guitar-synth more expressive than ever
We're no strangers to BOSS guitar synth technology, and we're very impressed with the SY-1000's Dynamic Synth. For best results, connect your instrument to the SY-1000 via your pickup as well as your instrument output. The GK sensor will allow you to track the ultra-precise pitch of the synth sounds, while your 1/4" output will tell you about the shape of the synth's envelope and its response. In other words, the Dynamic Synth follows the natural volume envelope of your instrument, further fusing your synth sounds with your playing style.
