Boss - SY-1

Designed for guitarists and bassists, the Boss SY-1 is a pedal designed to give you many classic synth sounds in one compact pedal. Using the Type and Variation buttons, you can instantly transform your sound into a pad, lead, bass synth, bell organ or classic rhythm synth pattern; 121 different sounds are at your disposal.

The Boss SY-1 can be used with any guitar or bass and a standard 6.3mm jack cable, providing a simple plug-and-play user experience. Thanks to the integrated Boss DSP, the SY-1 delivers latency-free performance, allowing you to play freely and fluidly without altering your playing technique.

The SY-1's depth and tone knobs are at your fingertips for further customisation of your sound. The function of the Tone/Rate knob changes according to the effect you've selected, and you can even change the pitch on certain notes.

The Boss SY-1 pedal is easy to adapt to most pedals. With its integrated send and return jacks, the SY-1 lets you mix your other pedals in a parallel chain with the synthesizer effect. You can even use this parallel path to output the synth sound to its own dedicated destination, such as a separate amplifier. Independent Direct/Effect knobs let you achieve any desired mix between processed and unprocessed signal.

With a buffered bypass to preserve your signal over long cable runs, the Boss SY-1 pedal can be powered by a single 9V battery or mains adapter. A battery is supplied in the original box. An AC adapter is available separately.
