The Cayin CS-55A KT88 Silver is an integrated stereo tube amplifier designed to accommodate both analogue and digital sources. Its architecture is based on four KT88 tubes associated with two 12AU7/ECC82 tubes and two 12AX7/ECC83 tubes. This configuration is complemented by an integrated USB DAC compatible with PCM streams up to 32 bits / 384 kHz, enabling direct connection to a computer for playback of high-resolution audio files.
The integrated MM phono input also makes it easy to pair with a vinyl turntable equipped with a moving magnet cartridge. The CS-55A KT88 Silver also has two RCA line inputs for connecting various hi-fi sources.
This amplifier has two operating modes. Triode mode delivers 22 watts per channel for warm sound reproduction, while Ultra-linear mode delivers up to 40 watts per channel with increased bass extension. This flexibility means that listening can be adapted to suit the speakers used and the user's preferences.
