The Cloudlifter CL-X enhances the Cloud Microphones range of microphone activators by adding a dimension of sonic character and increased flexibility. It incorporates a custom CineMag transformer that reacts dynamically to the input signal, adding subtle harmonics and musical saturation, particularly when used at higher levels.
The CL-X offers two selectable gain levels: a standard mode of up to +12dB and a MAX mode delivering up to +36dB of ultra-clean gain. This versatility makes it ideal for both powerful sources and delicate recordings with dynamic or ribbon microphones.
Always powered by simple phantom power, the CL-X is designed for engineers and musicians seeking not only impeccable gain, but also a touch of analogue 'mojo' and more control over output level.
