Presentation
The DBX 580 is a professional microphone preamplifier designed to provide precise and transparent amplification of low-level signals. It allows you to fully utilise the performance of modern microphones by converting their signal into a high-level output suitable for mixing desks, audio interfaces and recording systems.
Thanks to its high-quality analogue architecture, the DBX 580 offers up to 60 dB of gain whilst maintaining excellent sound clarity and low noise levels. It also features a front-panel instrument input for directly connecting a guitar, bass or any other high-impedance source.
The module incorporates several signal-shaping tools: a variable-frequency low-cut filter, detailed bass and treble controls, a -20 dB attenuator, polarity reversal and +48 V phantom power for condenser microphones.
Its analogue VU meter and peak indicator allow for precise level control during recording. Thanks to its 500-series single-unit format, the DBX 580 integrates easily into professional modular racks for studio, broadcast and live applications.
