DiMarzio has reinvented its iconic Super Distortion guitar pickup with this Dimarzio DP297FGCR Super Distor'Tron, which has a retro look but modern performance.
Here's an unlikely encounter: the legendary grain of the Super Distortion, housed in a Filter'Tron format. The result is called Super Distor'Tron and, frankly, it's brilliant!
Under the bonnet is a ceramic magnet, just like the original, to send out a thick, muscular and perfectly articulated signal.
The bass is massive, the midrange slightly deep and the treble sharp without being aggressive. But where this microphone surprises is in its ability to remain clear and defined even under high saturation. Notes never get lost in the mix and chords retain their structure.
