When Electro-Voice comes out with a floorstanding system, we have to listen, and with the Evolve 50 pack, offered as a stereo pair, it's no gimmick. This is serious business. Compact, powerful and portable, it delivers clear, precise audio without compromise. Whether you're a mobile DJ, an events presenter, a live musician or a sound technician in a fixed venue, this system ticks all the boxes. And you can carry it with one hand. It really does!
The heart of the Evolve 50 is its 12" subwoofer, capable of producing clean, deep bass without ever becoming muddy. Every kick drum hit has impact, every bass note remains legible. The sub is powered by a 500 W Class D amp, as is the column, for a total of 1000 W RMS. In other words, you've got plenty of headroom, even outdoors.
On the column, eight 3.5-inch neodymium drivers deliver a wide, balanced sound, with 120° horizontally and 40° vertically. The timbre remains precise and constant, even as you move around the room. Ideal for reverberant environments or difficult rooms.
Audio processing includes QuickSmart DSP, accessible via LCD screen. 3-band EQ, delay, phantom power, 4 presets (Music, Live, Speech, Club) and 5 user memories. Set it once, save it and find it again each time you perform. Saves you a lot of time, especially on tour.
A full range of connectors: two XLR/Jack TRS combo inputs, stereo RCA, 3.5 mm mini-jack, XLR MIX OUT for chaining to another system, AUX OUT for isolated line or external subwoofer. Integrated Bluetooth for wireless music streaming and control from a smartphone.
The modular design makes it easy to transport and install. The column can be dismantled into two parts and fixed to the subwoofer via a rigid tube. The subwoofer weighs 20.3 kg, the column 4.7 kg. The whole unit fits in the bag supplied, ready to be stowed in a boot and installed in less than 5 minutes.

Features include 4 presets (Music, Live, Speech, Club), 3-band system EQ (low, mid, high), 5 user-programmable presets (store and recall settings), phantom power, visual limiter status, input level control and indicators, and master volume control to optimise gain structure.
All of the above audio functions can also be controlled via the QuickSmart Mobile app - fine-tune the sound of your system from across the room, hearing what the audience hears. The fully configurable app features an intuitive, easy-to-read user interface and uses Bluetooth* Low Energy (BTLE) technology to adjust and control all parameters of up to six Evolve 50 systems simultaneously.
